Richard Cannon took a leap of faith in 1991 when he purchased Ionosphere Travel Agency with no prior travel industry experience! The purchase came with four agents, all of whom soon retired, changed careers, or were poached by other companies, leaving Richard as a one-man show! That forced him to learn every aspect of a travel agency himself, and he eventually rebuilt the company into the thriving travel agency it is today! Favorite destination: Italy (loves all things pasta).

I have been in the travel industry for over 35 years. As a dual citizen in both Sweden and US, I was fortunate to travel a lot as young person between the two countries.  I was a flight attendant for over 15 years and that experience have given me extensive knowledge of amazing places to visit. Some of my favorites (other than Scandinavia): Spain, Singapore, Scotland. Bucket list: Egypt, Chile, and Croatia.

Chip is an Anderson native. He loves his rescue dog Max, going on walks with him, and going to the local dog park a couple times a week. He went to school at the University of South Carolina with a major in geography, so he knows his way around the world very well. He has incorporated his world geography knowledge into travel sales. In the time he has been with us, he has grown to specialize in cruises, Caribbean all inclusive stays, and trips within the Americas from Canada to Costa Rica. Before becoming a travel consultant, I was a professor at a university, where I organized and led study abroad trips to Europe for 24 years. My programs took hundreds of students, faculty, and their families to the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and Spain. I specialize in creating trips that are more than mere vacations, but are experiences of a lifetime.

On a personal note, my wife and I are avid cruisers, and I am an expert at navigating the complexities of booking cruises all over the world.
